Film School Consortium

Sheridan College is home to the 2nd largest art school in North America. The School of Animation, Arts and Design has over 28 programs, including a diploma program in Media Arts, certificate programs in Media Fundamentals, Advanced Television and Film, Computer Animation, Digital Character Animation, Digital Visual Effects, and a degree program, Bachelor of Applied Arts in Animation.

Sheridan is renowned for its excellence in hands-on film production supported by cutting-edge technology and industry trained faculty. Students are offered a coop, field placement or internship opportunity to prepare them with relevant work experience. Students also have an opportunity to particpate in leading edge research and development in new film making technologies through placements at Sheridan's recently opened Screen Industries Research and Training Centre on one of Canada's largest studio lots, Pinewood Studios in downtown Toronto.

Our graduates can be found in the film industry all over the world; animation graduates are well represented in the major American studios including Dreamworks, Disney and Pixar. Students of Sheridan’s film programs have earned countless awards including Academy Awards, Emmys and the Toronto International Film Festival, Student Showcase.
